We had the pleasure of working with Anney and Sean on their big day a few weeks ago! We are so in love with every detail that was incorporated into this wedding. We think that you will be too. Check it out! The venue was the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in downtown Sacramento. The venue was just breathtaking. Very elegant and classy we must say.
Anney and her girls got ready in the Galleria’s large bridal room. Anney looked remarkable in her dress and her hair in an updo. Everyone in the wedding party, in fact, looked great! The color scheme of navy blue and gray were quite the eye catcher.
The bride and groom did first look photos outside the library doors with a downtown Sacramento backdrop. We love a good city photoshoot! The groom, and everyone else watching, was on the edge of their seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next. As Anney walked through the wooden doors, she grabbed his hand from behind. As he turned around, it wasn’t long until tears came to his eyes as he told her how beautiful she looked. They shared an intimate, special moment together before they headed inside for family pictures.
The ceremony began shortly after pictures. They all walked down the aisle and the excitement in the room grew. The ceremony was so thoughtful and sweet. As the blended their families, they had a sand ceremony, in which each took turns pouring sand. Their vows to each other left not a dry eye in the room. There was even a cute little penguin that assisted the ring bearer, as the penguin was a sentimental touch from their engagement story.
After the were pronounced husband and wife, the guests moved over to the reception area for cocktail hour. The decor on each of the tables were sophisticated and classy, yet simple and timeless. We loved the touch of navy blues, grays, and ivory.
The new family sat at a sweetheart table together with a gorgeous backdrop behind them. It was so wonderful seeing the four of them as one family at the sweetheart table. Such a sweet idea!
The toasts were so heartfelt and the love was felt from each person who spoke. There were tears and laughter!
Dinner was an elegant buffet catered by Hannibal’s Catering! They are great at what they do and the food was not to disappoint. The guests had a great time mingling over a tasty meal and cocktails. By this time the sun had gone down and ambiance of the venue was quite magical. The newlyweds shared a romantic first dance on an open dance floor. The kids joined them each later for a father daughter dance and a mother son dance. So beautiful!
The garter toss and the bouquet toss were the plot twists for the night! During the garter, the bride and groom switched positions and she pulled that garter right out from under his pant leg! And then, when it came to the bouquet toss, as she threw the bouquet over the edge, it broke apart into a bunch of smaller bouquets! That way every girl got one to take. Such a sweet gesture!
And last but not least, THE CAKE! Anney and Sean had the most creative cake idea! The theme was of the astrology of different stars! This had to do with a more personal meaning behind it. What a sweet (pun intended) idea!
This wedding gave us ALL the feels!
Anney and Sean, you are an inspiration of what true love looks like. Congratulations!
