Hello loves! I’m back for Part II of our 10 Top Wedding Celebrations for 2019 & 2020. If you haven’t been following along with me lately, I’m closing out 2019 by sharing our favorite wedding celebrations from 2019 and 2020. In my last post, I shared top weddings 10-6. Today, I’m sharing top weddings 5-1. Let’s dive in!
5. Christine and Victor’s Wedding
Christine and Victor’s wedding made our Top Wedding Celebrations list for having the best view of downtown Sacramento. They were married at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Sacramento in December 2019. Their wedding was held on the top story of the hotel, in the Capital View room, which has panoramic windows with gorgeous views of downtown Sacramento and the state capitol. Christine and Victor took some photos on the Upper Pool Deck area before the ceremony.
Christine and Victor had an elegant wedding celebration with rustic elements. They also incorporated greenery throughout the event. The entrance to the wedding aisle featured an ivory drape decorated with greenery garlands. Greenery garlands with ivory flowers lined the wedding ceremony aisle and also served as a beautiful table runner on the head table. The centerpieces on the guest tables incorporated eucalyptus greenery, which also accented the guest book table and dessert table. And the gorgeous bride wore a beautiful greenery crown with ivory flowers in her hair.
The color palette was emerald green, mint green, ivory, and gold. The guest tables were dressed in emerald green linens with ivory napkins, and gold flatware. Each table had gold chivari chairs with matching chair sashes tied to them. The guest tables were decorated with eucalyptus, menu cards, and acrylic table numbers which A Daydream Wedding hand-painted for this couple. Each table also had a dark wood wedding hashtag sign on it. The head table was dressed in ivory linens and emerald green napkins and was decorated with greenery garlands. Nestled in the garlands were medium-sized cylinder vases, which had intricate gold detailing and were filled with delicate fairy lights. And throughout the room were strategically placed up-lights, which combined with the fairy lights gave the room a soft, romantic glow. They also had a personalized monogram projected into the center of the room.
One of the best things about Christine and VIctor’s wedding reception was their delicious dessert table. There was a beautiful two-tiered cake for the bride and groom, which had green and ivory marbled frosting with gold foil accents. The table also included cake pops, mini-cupcakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, and personalized M&M’s that were emerald green and mint green. And to honor the groom who had recently graduated from the CHP academy, it also included a small donut wall.
4. Brittney and Justin’s Wedding
Brittney and Justin’s wedding made our Top Wedding Celebrations list because we loved the venue, which was located in the foothill wine country of Plymouth, CA. They were married in September 2019 at the Grand Reserve Inn. The style of the building, combined with the rolling hills of grapevines, made us feel like we were in Tuscany, Italy.
Brittney and Justin were married on the west side of the property near sunset. There was a spectacular sunset that day and the view of the couple exchanging vows with the vineyard in the background was amazing. The wedding took place on the grass lawn. A wooden arbor draped with lush white flowers and greenery was set up to create the altar. Wooden cross back chairs were set up for guests, with each aisle chair having a paper cone filled with flower petals. As guests entered the venue, they passed by a pair of personalized acrylic wedding signs to welcome them to the wedding.
The cocktail hour took place in the inner courtyard, which was perfect for this intimate wedding Guest were served antipasti appetizers and fruit. A bar was also set up to serve beer, wine, and a signature cocktail. The bar had a beautiful menu sign, matching the acrylic welcome signs the guests saw at the entrance. While the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, the bride, groom, and wedding party snapped some photos in the vineyard, lawn, and back patio. And the couple’s Labradoodle was also included in some of the photos as well.
When it was time for the reception, the guests were greeted with a display of champagne flutes placed on glass shelves. And each glass of champagne had an acrylic stirrer that was personalized with each guests’ name. Guests sat at wooden farm tables in cross back chairs. Each table had several lush flower arrangements consisting of greenery and white flowers. The tables were set with white china and white napkins with a menu card inserted. They also had tall cylinder vases with lit pillar candles and acrylic table numbers. The reception area also featured a wooden dance floor and had string lights strung from above for additional lighting. And about an hour before the end of the reception, a dessert truck showed up to serve cheesecake bites.
3. Megan & David’s Wedding
Since we are based in the El Dorado county foothills region, we love it when our couples select venues close to home. Especially venues that have an awesome view of the mountains, like where Megan and David got married in May 2019. Their wedding at the High Sierra Iris and Wedding Gardens in Camino, CA, makes our Top Wedding Celebrations list for having the best mountain view at sunset. This Sierra foothills venue really is one of the most beautiful places to get married in El Dorado county. And Megan and David enjoyed a wedding celebration with perfect weather and a quiet and serene atmosphere.
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready offsite at a nearby rental property. The bridesmaids wore black and white plaid flannel shirts while getting ready and the bride wore a lovely silk robe. The bride changed into a gorgeous spaghetti-strapped wedding gown. The bridesmaids changed into light grey dresses. After Megan was dressed, she had a sentimental first look moment with her father, as well as her bridesmaids. And just before heading over to the wedding venue, Megan had some laughs with one of the chickens that lived on the property.
The groom and groomsmen got ready at another offsite location. The groom’s father and groomsmen assisted him in getting dressed and ready for the wedding. The groom and groomsmen were dressed in grey suits.
The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father. It was a touching ceremony full of love and prayer. The altar featured a lovely gazebo arch covered with white flowers and vines.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom took sunset pictures at the crest of a hill, which had the most amazing view.
Then it was time for the reception. Megan and David sat at a sweetheart table, with the bridesmaids at the table to the left, and the groomsmen at the table to the right. The sweetheart table and wedding party tables were decorated with taper candles with crystal holders and small votive candles in glass. The candlelight looked amazing and ethereal as the dawn set in, especially with the twinkle lights that were strung overhead. The bridesmaids’ table also had vases to hold their bouquets of eucalyptus greenery and white roses.
Megan and David’s wedding cake was hombre-style, frosted in green and white frosting. It was decorated with greenery and white flowers that matched the bouquets. It also had just the perfect scattering of chunky gold glitter. A personalized cake copper was placed on top of the cake.
2. Rachael And Austin’s Wedding
Rachael and Austin’s wedding is one that really stands out to us. They made the Top Wedding Celebrations list because their wedding was memorably fun and reflected the couple’s cute quirkiness. They were married in September 2019 at the Wolfe Heights Event Center in Sacramento, CA.
Rachael and Austin got ready for the wedding onsite in the estate. The estate house had a full kitchen, as well as several elegant rooms to get ready in. The bride got ready in a room that had a gorgeous vintage mirror and distressed vintage cabinet. The bride’s mother helped her to get into her dress and put on her garter. The groom got ready in a separate room and his mother was there to help pin on his boutonniere.
Once the couple was ready, they headed outside for their first look photos. Austin was waiting for Rachael by a willow tree next to the pond. Rachael walked down the steps from the estate house over to the pond and tapped on the groom’s shoulder. He turned around and saw his beautiful bride and they kissed, hugged, and danced around.
The ceremony was held in the blooming unity garden pavilion which has a large wooden gazebo. It also features 360-degree seating on wooden benches for the guests. The bridesmaids were dressed in maroon and the groomsmen were dressed in navy blue suits. The bride was walked down the aisle by her father. It was a beautiful ceremony and the couple shared custom-written vows.
After the ceremony, the couple took pictures all around the property. They took photos by the pond, in the grape vineyard, and the olive orchard. The light of the sunset made these pictures look spectacular. While the bride and groom were taking photos, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour utilizing the full bar on the bottom floor of the estate house.
For the reception, the bride and groom made their grand entrance and then went straight into their first dance. After the first dance, everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner. After dinner, the fun began. The bride shared a dance with her father. And the groom shared a special, choreographed dance with his mother.
The rest of the evening was spent dancing and eating cake and mini-cupcakes, which were made by the groom’s mother. At the end of the evening, the guests enjoyed a late-night snack of street tacos from a taco truck. These college sweethearts enjoyed a fun and beautiful wedding celebration.
1. Tiffanie and Issac’s Wedding
Tiffanie and Isaac’s wedding made it on our Top Wedding Celebrations for being the most trendy wedding. Their celebration harmonious combined numerous wedding design trends to create a fun and memorable wedding experience that was authentic and unique to the couple. The wedding design includes boho, shabby chic, vintage, and greenery trends. Tiffanie and Isaac were married in October 2019 at a private outdoor venue in Lotus, CA.
The wedding ceremony took place in a forest-type area among tall pine trees. A rustic wood arbor was at the altar and was draped with greenery and beautiful wildflowers at the top. A macrame backdrop was also hung from the arbor to make the perfect wedding altar. The guests sat in benches made of tree stumps and wood planks. Vintage-style rugs were used to create a carpet runner down the aisle. The entrance to the ceremony area featured a large tree where a macrame dream catcher was hung.
The ceremony was officiated by a friend who played a part in their journey as a couple. His personal relationship with the bride and groom made for a meaningful and special ceremony. He was also able to incorporate funny stories about the couple that had everyone laughing, including Tiffanie and Isaac. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her son.
After the ceremony, Tiffanie and Isaac took some photos with their wedding party. The bridesmaids were dressed in powder blue dresses. The groomsmen wore blue suit pants with suspenders, a white button-up shirt, and a tie.
The reception area was held in a grassy meadow area with tall oak trees. Tables were dressed in ivory linens and had centerpieces that consisted of greenery and geometric gold candle holders. Bistro lights were strung up above from the trees. The sweetheart table was a solid wood vintage table with vintage velvet chairs. A drink table was created in this area using two wine barrels and a wooden plank, which matched the tree stump benches in the ceremony area. Greenery was draped over the seating chart.
A lounge area was created in another grassy meadow area. It featured a vintage love seat, two vintage chairs, a coffee table, and a vintage rug. It also had a delicious popcorn table decorated with a LOVE marquee light. The popcorn table was made with two wine barrels and a wooden plank, like the drink table.
Tiffanie and Isaac used a vintage buffet for the dessert table. A variety of yummy desserts were placed on top, as well as inside the drawers and doors. Their wedding cake was the centerpiece of the table. It was designed based on the show Game of Thrones to look like dragon scales. The wording on their personalized cake topper was written in the same font used in the show. There were other Game of Thrones details throughout the evening. There were banners hanging from the trees in the reception area written in the same font as the show. In addition, a sword was placed at the sweetheart table, which was the perfect accent piece for the theme.
The bride wore a boho-style dress, as well as a floral crown. She carried a matching bouquet. The groom had a matching boutonniere. The bride and groom showed off their matching semi-colon tattoos on their thumbs.
